Launched over 40 years ago Reserva Especial is one of the exceptional pillars of Casa Ferreirinha. - Reserva Especial has a ruby hue with brick-colour hints with a harmonious and complex bouquet of ripe red fruit, truffles and asparagus. Pepper and cinnamon notes are evident, a result of the ageing in excellent-quality wooden barrels. In the mouth aromas such as cedar prevail, well complemented by ripe red fruits such as plum. Aromas from ageing in the bottle are present, such as truffles and iodine. Its well-balanced acidity and integrated tannins provide it with a long, delicate and complex finish...
